Take Me Out to the Ball Game

My daddy joined a baseball team this summer. They are the Cardinals. Daddy's not too happy about that since he's a big Mets fan. Being that my Nani and Papa live in St. Louis, they bought me my own Cardinals uniform to wear to the games. Daddy even bought me my own helmet to match. My daddy is the catcher and sometimes plays first base. When I'm not watching the game, I'm usually running around the other field or trying to sneak in the dugout. I just want to give my daddy a good luck kiss. Play ball!

Arches

As we were nearing Nani and Papa's house at the beginning of the summer and coming upon St. Louis, mommy and daddy pointed the Arch out to me. I've not forgotten it since. In fact, it's become one of my favorite shapes. I point them out every time I see them, create them when I can, and frequently have mommy pull up pictures of the St. Louis Arch on the computer. Although, my all-time favorite arch would have to be the "watermelon" arch. (I take after mommy in that it is one of my favorite foods to eat.) I get so excited that I pull my stairs up to the counter as she begins the cutting process. I stand in awe of my "arch" as we eat the watermelon together. The watermelon arch then usually moves to the bay window where I run my cars under and on it. Oh, the joys of summer!

Water Baby

One of the best things about summer is the water. Mommy and daddy bought me a giraffe pool for the backyard. I all of a sudden become very thirsty and drink the "girass water!" I really like it when Maestro hops in my pool (with help from mommy) and I'm able to give him a bath. When I'm not in my pool, I fill my watering can up with the pool water and sprinkle everything in sight, especially my dump trunks because they're very "thirsty." I also had fun swimming with my friend, Luke, at his pool. His pool has a cool fountain in the middle. By the way, thank you, Aunt Linny, for my cool Lightning McQueen swim trunks. They rock!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July! I had a fun day of playing with mommy and daddy, and I really enjoyed the fireworks...but only on tv. I could see and hear them through the trees in my backyard and they scared me quite a bit. From on top of daddy's shoulders I said, "No fireworks! Inside!" I then set off my own display by throwing up handfuls of my mini foam rockets. Maybe next year I'll be up for the big celebration. I'm heading to the pool tomorrow with my friend, Luke, so check back for new pictures. Hopefully, the rain will hold off until the afternoon.
