Gymnastics

So, I'm just now getting around to taking gymnastics- a Christmas gift from Grandma and Aunt Linny from last year. I'm really excited because mommy and daddy get to do the classes with me. I was a little hesitant at first but then joined in on the fun. I started out by jumping on the trampoline. My teacher taught me how to do a pencil jump. That's where you jump with your arms above your head.

The next thing we did was go to different centers. My favorite was, "Up the hill, down the hill!" At first, I didn't get that I was supposed to move on to the next center and let everyone else have a turn.

At another center, daddy tried to help me roll and do a somersault. The rolling part was fun, but I think I'll save the somersault for another time.

My favorite part of all was the "blocks," also known to most gymnasts as the pit. Daddy would help me jump high and land right next to mommy. Mommy and daddy are hoping that I will learn to swing on the rings and drop in. Just like the somersault, the rings didn't go so well either. But nevertheless, I really had a great time running, jumping, climbing, and doing all the things I love to do. Mommy and daddy had a good time too, especially since I slept extra well that night! So, thank you Grandma and Aunt Linny for the gymnastics classes. I hope you get to come watch all my tricks real soon!
